| Class | What will you learn? | Length & cost of course |
|---|---|---|
Puppy Starters |
By the end of the Puppy Starters course your puppy will have learned that training is fun! He (or she) will know how to sit, lie down, come when he is called, walk on the lead without pulling and to ignore food and other distractions when he is told to. Most importantly he will enjoy doing so. He will also have learned some social skills from the controlled off-lead play sessions in every lesson. These play sessions will be between carefully chosen pairs of puppies – we do not let all the puppies off the lead to play at the same time. Finally, we will also cover topics such as housetraining, handling, preventing jumping up and preventing play-biting. |
7 weeks - £70 |
Adult Starters |
The Adult Starters course is for new rescue dogs and for older puppies or dogs that may not have had any formal training. By the end of the Adult Starters Class your dog will have learned that training is fun! He (or she) will know how to sit, lie down, come when he is called, walk on the lead without pulling and to ignore food and other distractions when he is told to. Most importantly he will enjoy doing so. We will also cover topics such as preventing jumping up and preventing play-biting. |

Improvers |
For puppies and adult dogs that have completed a ‘Starters’ course or have a similar level of training. The aim of the Improvers course is to teach you and your dog more advanced skills to help you be in control in any situation. The classes are for dogs and owners that enjoy training and want to carry on improving. We will introduce you and your dog to distance control and emergency stops. We will also show you how to teach him to retrieve an object and introduce the idea of finding his own toy rather than someone else’s toy. Finally we will continue to improve sits, downs and walking to heel off-lead, even when there are lots of distractions. All new exercises in the Improvers course are taught using clicker training. |
7 weeks - £70 |
