Are you thinking about getting your first dog? Or maybe you’ve had dogs before but it’s been a few years since you had a new one. This session is aimed at anyone who is thinking about getting a dog and has some questions to ask.

Some of the most frequently-asked questions covered in the ‘Preparation session for potential dog owners’ are listed below, however if you have any other questions then they can easily be built into the session:

  • Should I get a puppy or a rescue dog?
  • What breed of dog would be most suitable for me?
  • What should I look for in a good breeder?
  • What should I expect from a dog rescue Home?
  • How do I choose a puppy or dog?
  • What is the best age to bring a puppy Home?
  • How do I get my house ready for a new puppy or dog?
  • What equipment will I need for my new dog?
  • How do I help my dog to settle down quickly in his new Home?
  • How will my dog behave in his first few days in his new Home?

Preparation sessions for potential dog owners usually last one hour but can be longer if requested. They will be charged at £45 per hour. (Travel costs may apply in some cases).
