Pre-vaccination Puppy ‘Welcome Home’ Visits
Puppies learn many of their social skills in the first few months of their life. During this period they are also particularly open to experiencing new situations that they may encounter later in life, and learning to accept them as normal. However, until puppies are fully vaccinated they will not usually be able to join a formal puppy playgroup or training class.
In a Pre-Vaccination Puppy ‘Welcome Home’ Visit, we will come to your home and help you with any or all of the following areas:
- How to socialise your puppy safely with other puppies and older dogs.
- Making new experiences positive (e.g. travel, traffic, public places).
- How to house-train your puppy successfully.
- Avoiding mouthing, play-biting and rough play.
- Preventing chewing or stealing of personal objects.
- Training hints and tips for young puppies.
- Advice on nutrition both as a puppy and an adult.
Pre-Vaccination Puppy ‘Welcome Home’ Visits usually last one hour but can be longer if requested. They will be charged at £55 per hour. (Travel costs may apply in some cases).
